The Partnership is an independent open forum of organisations and individuals who are all interested in the sustainable use of organic resources on land. SORP is ‘recognised by DEFRA as a national focus for the safe, sustainable, trusted and welcome recycling of organic resources’.  Organic resources include animal manures, biosolids, composts etc. The Sustainable Organic sources Partnership (SORP) believes that the use of organic resources on land is important to maintain soil organic matter content and to complete nutrient cycles, and that practices must be based on sound science.
