Financing Organic Resources
As the UK society gradually embraces the idea that we can derive value out of what we have historically considered waste, we face the challenge of understanding and knowing how the facilities and technologies that will transform these materials should be funded and what economic incentives are available and need to be developed.
To help meet some of these challenges and to provide opportunities for stakeholders and businesses interested in recycling of organic resources to land, SORP is organising a conference and Think Tank event to set out what we know on organic resources funding, financial incentives available, additional funding and processes necessary to make full use of organic materials as true resources.
Come and hear how major organic resources such as food waste, manures and slurries, and sludge can be bankable within existing regulatory frameworks, utilising existing and forthcoming economic incentives offered through climate change and renewable energy policies. If there was a time when all key policy drivers come perfectly together for organic resources, it has to be now. Investment in organic resources is investment in the environment and the economy.
